Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by Anansi to prevent modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.

Our Commitment

Anansi is committed to operating with integrity and responsibility. We have a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. We believe resilience in business is inseparable from fairness and accountability, and we expect the same standards from all those with whom we work.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Anansi provides regulated insurance, automation, and risk-management solutions for the logistics and e-commerce industries. While our direct operations are primarily technology-focused and low risk, we recognise that elements of the wider logistics and supply chain sector can present higher risks, particularly where subcontracted services or international operations are involved.

Policies and Standards

Code of Conduct: Our internal policies prohibit all forms of forced or involuntary labour.

Supplier Standards: We require our suppliers, partners, and couriers to comply with all relevant labour laws, provide safe working conditions, and uphold human rights.

Whistleblowing: We operate a confidential reporting process so that employees or stakeholders can raise concerns about misconduct, including human rights violations.

Due Diligence and Risk Management

We assess new suppliers through an onboarding process that reviews their compliance with labour and ethical standards.

We conduct ongoing reviews of suppliers operating in higher-risk geographies or industries.

Where risks are identified, we work with suppliers to implement corrective actions and reserve the right to terminate relationships if issues are not resolved.

Training and Awareness

We provide training and resources to relevant employees to ensure awareness of modern slavery risks and responsibilities. We also encourage open dialogue with our partners to strengthen industry understanding and cooperation.

Continuous Improvement

We recognise that combating modern slavery requires ongoing vigilance. We will continue to review and strengthen our due diligence processes, supplier oversight, and training, and we are committed to improving year on year.
